I, along with many others in the Pacific Northwest, have been forced inside by a blustery storm. I knew that I should have gotten a walk in on Wednesday because I had heard that the weather was going to get bad, but I didn’t. I was dealing with a case of food poisoning and also laziness. It’s miserable weather like this in the Fall that allows us to come inside; not just inside of buildings, but inside ourselves. We get a chance to steep in our being, look ourselves over, and grow as people. This can be a healing time too. Warm drinks, soup, and rest. It’s all a part of the cycle. This is why I love living in a place that has seasons: because I can continue my evolution with the restorative cyclic nature of the seasons.
